People from all walks of life and all age groups should prioritize their health, advised State Health Secretary Christina Chongthu while inaugurating a free medical camp at Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Secretariat. The camp was jointly organized by Aster Prime Hospital and the Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Secretariat Association.
The camp provided essential health check-ups, including Body Mass Index (BMI), blood pressure, random blood sugar, hemoglobin tests, eye examinations, and based on doctors’ recommendations, ECG, 2D Echo tests, oral and breast cancer screenings, dental check-ups, and consultations were also offered. Speaking at the event, Christina Chongthu emphasized the state government's commitment to improving public healthcare facilities, ensuring better services in government hospitals.
The camp, conducted from 11 AM to 5 PM, saw active participation from specialists in General Surgery, Cardiology, Orthopedics, Gynecology, and Gastroenterology, along with a dedicated team of 35 medical staff members. Free medicines were also distributed to those in need. A large number of Secretariat employees attended the camp and availed of the medical services.
Prominent attendees included Secretariat Employees’ Association President Giri Srinivas Reddy, General Secretary Prem, Treasurer Kailash, and others.
