Aditya Malhotra, founder of Palate Trekker connects the country with shared passion for food & drink

In a world of battling ideologies, there seems to be one that connects us all—a shared passion for food & drink. Delhi based Aditya Malhotra, adventurer and certified sommelier, founder of Palate Trekker will be travelling across various states of the country to explore never seen before food and wine pairings. After covering Arunachal Pradesh, Goa & Varanasi, wine expert Aditya is all set to cover the other regions of the country including Central & Northern India, meeting local chefs and creating wine lists, recommending wine pairings with sumptuous local cuisines.

Inspired by Anthony Bourdain, Globe Trekker and Chefs Table, Aditya founded Palate Trekker, a youtube channel which is all about flavours, food, beverage, people and conversations. Palate Trekker is based on 4 principles of: Flavours, Philosophy, Exploration and Technique, providing a refreshing and authentic south Asian perspective to the exploration of complex flavours. The Palate Trekker platform is dedicated to the education and evaluation of never-before-seen food and wine pairings, with an open and attainable approach to wine drinking that touches on philosophy, heritage and humanness.

Practicing a form of Gonzo Journalism, Aditya explores the world through the lens of food and drinks, discovering new flavours and hearing stories from locals, providing a highly immersive experience that empowers the viewer.  In each episode, Palate Trekker purveys all cuisines accessible, leaving room for eventual expansion of the series, with the hope to get more people to drink wine! He meets chefs, cooks, and farmers who each represent a unique and previously unexplored cuisine; interviews them; explores markets alongside them; understands their history, philosophy and technique; and then carefully pairs wine with foods of this region and discipline.

Aditya has over 14 years of hospitality experience spread across Oberoi Hotels, Taj Hotels in the US, Michelin star restaurants, Hamptons resorts and many standalone restaurants.
