Indian Biogas Association recognized companies for their contribution to Biogas Industry

The Indian Biogas Association (IBA), the association of operators, manufacturers, and planners of biogas plants, recognised the contributions of various industry players for their contributions towards the biogas industry. IBA has announced the winner and runners-up in four categories – promising organisation, operation excellence, circular waste management Biomethanation, and unsung hero.

The jury members included Prof. Amit Garg from IIM-Ahmedabad, Prof. T. N. Singh, Director, IIT-Patna, Prof. Pradeep Srivastava, ED, TIFAC, Prof. Jadran Vrabec, TU-Berlin, Dr. Claudius da Costa Gomez, MD, German Biogas Association, and Sh. Deepak Gadhia, Trustee, Muni Seva Ashram.

  8. Saahas- unsung hero -Runner up

The Indian Biogas Association’s President, Dr. A. R. Shukla, said, “We congratulate all the winners on the good work undertaken for the environment. I would also like to mention that the biogas industry has huge potential, which can save the government more than INR 1.1 lakh crore per year, if the right focus is given to the industry with effective support. With the kind of resources available to our country, this could be a sunshine sector for the government in the years to come.”

Indian Biogas Association’s Chairman, Gaurav Kedia said, “The movement of biogas is building up in the country. The industry has seen the potential of alternate energy – biogas. Recognizing the efforts of these organizations is the step in the right direction to inculcate the competitive spirit. We look forward to recognize the efforts of more and more organizations going forward”.

About Indian Biogas Association

The “Indian Biogas Association” (IBA) is the first nationwide and professional biogas association for operators, manufacturers and planners of biogas plants, and representatives from public policy, science, and research in India.

The association was established in 2011 and revamped in 2015 to promote a greener future through biogas. The motto of the association is “propagating biogas in a sustainable way”.

The association is working with the German Biogas Association to foster the development of the Biogas sector in India. The association has also collaborations with the following organizations:
