Ambuja Cements, the 9th largest building materials solutions provider globally and part of the diversified Adani Portfolio, has improved the learning environment for students in Mavan village of Guna district by strengthening basic infrastructure in government schools.
With this initiative, Ambuja Cements along with the Adani Foundation addressed the lack of classroom furniture, which had been impacting student comfort, concentration and overall academic experience.
To bridge this gap, Ambuja Cements provided 74 desks and benches to the government high school and government Kanya Shala in the village, benefitting nearly 200 students. The intervention ensured that children could sit comfortably and learn in a structured classroom environment instead of sitting on the floor.
The impact was immediate, with classrooms becoming more organised and disciplined. Teachers reported improved attentiveness, while students showed better focus, engagement and participation, reinforcing Ambuja Cements’ commitment to strengthening access to quality education in rural communities.
